My work explores the limits of abstraction, representation, and understanding of nature. I seek to pay homage to it by bringing the outdoors (the wild), indoors (domestic), and exploring the idea of wilderness as a shelter. Sketching, drawing, and visual journaling are part of my daily practice, which eventually turns into paintings, prints, graphic art, drawings, and most recently, ceramics, and textiles. I seek to better understand our relationship with nature through the representation of leaves, seeds, algae, and other beings and objects that surround us.
